The Marquise Black Leather Snaffle Bridle

Size

Part of the Equestrians In Paris / Versailles 2024 Collection.

The title of Marquis was bestowed upon men with military and judicial power and the rank of Marquise could be held by the wife of a Marquis OR granted to a woman in her own right.

Louis XIV’s and Louis XV's love of women was well-known and they preferred to grant the title of Marquise to their mistresses. Both had a number of mistresses (Marquises) - including a few that had much influence at court.  The Marquise Snaffle Bridle was inspired by these women who were known for their beauty, intelligence, influence and style at Versailles.

Care Philosophy: Less Is More.
Do not let dirt build up. Wipe down after every ride using a barely damp, good quality cloth. Do not use soaps or cleansers. Never use any glycerin based products, nail polish remover, acetone, alcohol or anything that could strip moisture or color.  Make sure leather is completely dry before storing. Condition the headstall only as needed—typically every 8–12 weeks.  If in doubt, reach out & we can help - info@shophalterego.com
