Return & Exchange Policy

Halter Ego wants you to love your purchase as much as we do! If you’re looking to return or exchange your order for any reason, we’re here to help. We offer returns or exchanges on full-priced items within 30 days of purchase.


Return Policy Details

All returned items must be:

  • Unworn and unwashed

  • In new condition

  • In original packaging

  • With tags attached

Bridles, halters, browbands, and related leather goods are shipped in protective, padded packaging and must be returned in the same packaging to prevent damage. Any of these items returned without packaging and/or damaged will not be eligible for a refund, return, or exchange.

Every order is carefully inspected before shipping. We recommend against using scissors or sharp tools to open your shipment. Items damaged during opening will not be eligible for return or exchange.

Items showing any signs of wear, including makeup, deodorant marks, odors, animal hair, sweat, dander, grime, or similar, are not eligible for return or exchange.

All returns are subject to review and will only be accepted if the item is in as-new condition and within our 30-day return/exchange period.


Refunds & Processing

  • Returns and exchanges are processed within 72 hours of receipt (Monday–Friday, excluding weekends).

  • Refunds may take up to 10 business days to appear on your account.

  • Refunds are issued to the original form of payment.

  • We cannot issue refunds, store credit, or replacement items until returned items have been received and inspected.

Original shipping costs and return shipping fees will be deducted from all refunds.


Return Shipping

  • One (1) prepaid return shipping label is provided for exchanges on full-priced items within the U.S.

  • Additional exchanges require the customer to pay return shipping.

  • Return labels expire 20 days after issuance.

  • Return shipping on sale or discounted items is the customer’s responsibility, if approved.


Late Returns & Restocking Fees

  • Returns submitted after 30 days are reviewed on a case-by-case basis.

  • Late returns may be eligible for store credit equal to the original purchase amount.

  • A 15% restocking fee may apply.

  • Store credit expires one (1) year from the date issued.


Sale, Clearance & Custom Items

  • Sale items are eligible for store credit or exchange only.

  • All sale items, sample sale items, and storewide promotional items are non-refundable.

  • Clearance, Closeout, and End of Collection items are final sale and not eligible for return, exchange, store credit, or refund.

  • Custom items are not eligible for refunds and are handled on a case-by-case basis.


Exchanges & Replacements

When available, we will exchange the same product for a different size. Customers are responsible for all associated shipping costs.

If a replacement is needed by a certain date, please contact us to place a new order to ensure timely delivery.

Handling fees may apply.


Defective Items

If your item arrives defective, please contact us at info@shophalterego.com with a description of the issue and photos if possible. Our team will assist you as quickly as possible.


How to Start a Return or Exchange

  1. Log in to our Online Return Center using your email address and order ID.

  2. Select the items you wish to return or exchange.

  3. Print the prepaid shipping label sent to your email.

  4. Send all items back within 20 days using the provided label.

Website Purchases Only

This policy applies only to purchases made through the Halter Ego® website. Purchases made through third-party retailers must be returned through the original retailer.


Additional Information

Lost & Stolen Packages
All packages ship with tracking and insurance. Claims for lost items may be filed with the carrier, and we will provide any available supporting information.

Gift Cards
All gift card purchases (digital or physical) are non-refundable.
